Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday, July 7, directed authorities to scrutinise the websites and digital repositories of the region’s universities and colleges.
The directive came after the circulation of the book ‘Great Personalities and Legends of J&K’, which profiled separatist leaders and was distributed in schools under the Samagra Shiksha scheme, drawing criticism and prompting calls for action.
The review aims to ensure that educational institutions do not circulate content that contradicts national integrity or promotes separatism. The directive reflects heightened alertness around educational materials and digital content in Jammu and Kashmir.
