The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the official nominations for the 2026 International Emmy Awards on September 23, 2026, selecting Vir Das’s Netflix stand-up special Fool Volume in the Comedy category. The show competes against Argentina's Division Palermo Season 2, the United Kingdom's Man vs Baby, and Australia's Old Dog, New Tricks. Filmed across Mumbai, New York, and London, the special originated from a period when Das temporarily lost his voice before a major stage performance.

The nomination marks Das's third International Emmy nod, following his 2021 nomination for Vir Das: For India and his 2023 win for Vir Das: Landing. Prior to this nomination, Das served as the host for the 52nd International Emmy Awards ceremony in New York in November 2024. The winners of the 2026 ceremony will be announced on November 23, 2026, in New York City.
