An Indian-flagged cargo vessel, the MSV Faize Noore Oliya, capsized and sank off Yemen's western coast after being hit by a projectile about 13 nautical miles (24 km) south of Hodeidah. All 14 crew members—comprising 13 Indian nationals and 1 Yemeni sailor—were safely rescued without casualties in a joint operation by local coast guard and naval units, and taken to the port of Mokha.

Indian officials, including Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and the Ministry of External Affairs, strongly condemned the attack, prioritizing seafarer safety and calling for an immediate end to targeting commercial shipping in international waterways.
