The two-time defending champion looked in serious danger of elimination when Nosková broke serve to lead 4-2 in the final set, but Sabalenka immediately broke back to force a deciding 10-point tiebreak before sealing the match with a clutch second-serve ace. The victory keeps Sabalenka’s three-peat title quest intact and secures her sixth consecutive US Open semifinal appearance, where she is set to battle American third seed Jessica Pegula.
