India Women surged into the final of the Women's T20 Asia Cup 2026 after delivering a comprehensive 40-run victory over Bangladesh in the first semi-final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Thursday, September 10. Asked to bat first, India posted a total of 149/6, powered by Player of the Match Shafali Verma’s aggressive 64 off 40 deliveries. Supporting contributions came from captain Harmanpreet Kaur (24*), Richa Ghosh (21), and a late cameo from Deepti Sharma (13 off 6).

In reply, Bangladesh struggled to build momentum against India's spin attack on a sluggish Dubai surface. Off-spinner Deepti Sharma led the bowling unit with figures of 3/26, while Nandani Sharma chipped in with 2/10 in the closing overs to restrict Bangladesh to 109/7. Shorna Akter top-scored for Bangladesh with an unbeaten 22. India remain undefeated in the tournament and advance to the summit clash scheduled for September 13 against either Pakistan or defending champions Sri Lanka.
