Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest has sparked a unique cultural response across Bihar. During screenings, some viewers have been seen removing their footwear before entering the auditorium, treating the film’s Chhath-themed sequences with special reverence.
At Cine Galaxy in Muzaffarpur, women dressed in traditional Chhath attire were seen distributing thekua, a popular Chhath offering, among moviegoers inside the theatre. Videos from the screenings have also shown audiences reacting emotionally to the film’s devotional moments, particularly the Chhathi Maiya sequence.
Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and produced by Ekta Kapoor, The Vvaan blends folk traditions, mysticism, supernatural elements and action. The film, which theatrically released on September 25, 2026, features Chhath prominently and has connected with Bihar audiences through its portrayal of regional faith and culture.
